A Field Built on Both Legacy and Opportunity

Of the 40 teams heading to the ENC Finals, 20 countries and territories will arrive with their place already secured. Those direct invitations are drawn from ALGS Year 6 Championship Points as of Monday, July 13, a snapshot taken right after the Split 1 Playoffs wrapped up at the Esports World Cup in Paris. It's a system that rewards the results already put in across the ALGS season, rather than starting the entire national race from zero.

But an invitation for a country or territory doesn't hand any specific roster a golden ticket. Even in guaranteed nations, the actual team walking into the ENC Finals still has to be earned through the regional Online Qualifiers. It's simply that, within those regions, the highest-finishing eligible roster representing an already-invited country or territory is the one that claims the spot. In other words, the invitation guarantees the seat; the players still have to win the right to sit in it.

The Open Road: 18 More Slots Up for Grabs

For every country and territory without a guaranteed invite, the path runs entirely through performance. An additional 18 slots will be handed out based on how teams finish in the regional Online Qualifiers, with those slots split unevenly across four regions to reflect the competitive weight each one carries: 9 to EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), 6 to the Americas, and 3 to APAC South (Southeast Asia, South and East Asia, Oceania, and China). Only the highest-finishing team from each non-guaranteed country or territory is eligible to claim one of these spots, and once a nation has qualified, every other team from that same country or territory is set aside so the slot can go to a different flag entirely. It's a structural choice that keeps the ENC Finals spread across as many nations as possible, rather than letting a handful of talent-dense regions dominate the bracket.

Rounding out the 40-team field are two additional Wildcard pathways, one Host Region Slot and one Solidarity Slot, administered directly through the ENC's broader Wildcard framework, giving a final pair of countries or territories a route outside the standard qualification system.

Because there are no individual player exemptions built into this format, the ENC Qualifiers are about to produce some genuinely brutal internal battles. Countries/territories like the United States, Japan, Australia, Great Britain, and the People's Republic of China are home to some of the deepest talent pools in competitive Apex Legends, which means multiple world class rosters from the very same country will be fighting each other just for the right to be that nation's one representative, before they even get to compete against the rest of the world. How the Regional Qualifiers Work

Each of the four regions, EMEA, Americas, APAC North, and APAC South, will run its own standalone Online Qualifier, with a maximum of 1,280 teams competing in each. The format is single-elimination and runs up to seven rounds deep, with early rounds featuring four matches per series before the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals expand to six matches each. After every round, only the top 10 teams from each lobby advance, tightening the field considerably as the tournament progresses. Scoring throughout follows the standard ALGS structure, awarding points for both placement and eliminations, so survival alone won't be enough; teams will need to fight for kills along the way to secure their spot.

Team Rosters and Eligibility

To compete, teams must field 3–4 eligible players all representing the same country or territory, with each roster allowed up to two players from the same ALGS Split 1 Pro League team and one non-playing coach.
