APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR SOLIDARITY SLOTS

Jul 27, 2026.

Solidarity Slots provide a pathway for underrepresented countries & territories to compete at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 alongside the world's best, by removing barriers to entry, compensating for regional infrastructure limitations and supporting professional growth and international representation for all. This page provides all the information necessary to understand how they work and how to apply.

SCOPE & REQUIREMENTS

Solidarity Slots are available on every title except Counter-Strike 2. Each game title at ENC will award one (1) Solidary Slot, with the exception of Chess, Rocket League and EA FC who will award two (2) Solidary Slots each. A country/territory can only be awarded a maximum of one (1) Solidarity Slot across all ENC game titles.

All applications must meet the requirements below to be considered eligible:

Participation: The team/player applying for a Solidarity Slot must have been selected and approved by the ENC team to participate in the qualifiers and/or must have participated in ENC qualifiers.

Underrepresentation: The team/player’s country/territory must be present at ENC Finals on a maximum of 1 game title, either through invites or qualifiers. If you are unsure, please refer to the country/territory list in the application form. If your country/territory is in the list, it is eligible for 1 Solidarity Slot.

APPLICATION PROCESS

National Team Managers/Partners, or if not applicable, the Team Captain/Coach must apply through the official ENC 2026 - Solidarity Slot Application Form by August 16, 2026. They can only receive a maximum of 1 Solidarity Slot across all of ENC.

The ENC team will review all applications and evaluate them based on the following criteria:

  • Representation at ENC26: On how many game titles is this country/territory represented at ENC Finals already, if any?
  • Competitiveness: How good is that player/team? How strong was their performance at the ENC qualifiers?
  • Regional representation: How much is that region represented on that specific game title already?
  • Growth potential: How much would that country/territory and the region benefit from receiving a Solidary Slot for ENC26?

The ENC team will shortlist the top 3 countries/territories on each game title and will decide together with the game publishers on the final selection for the Solidary Slot. The final selection or rejection decision will be communicated at the end of August to all players/teams who submitted an application. Decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.
